My name is Dylan, I'm 21 years old & recently finished my degree in Maths & Statistics at Trinity. I'm now working as a Data Analyst at EY. I have some non-mathematical interests too though! I'm an avid Formula 1 fan, a mediocre guitarist & a lover of the great outdoors :)
Music
Who doesn't like music, am I right? When I'm home in Kerry, I love to mess around with my brother in our bedrooms, making covers of our favourite songs & trying to write our own. If we ever succeed & write something worth posting, I'll keep you all updated :)
Formula 1
I have a huge interest in Formula 1. It's the most data-driven sport in the world and so much of a team's success in a race can be decided by their strategy department. I had the phenomenal opportunity to attend the Monaco Grand Prix in 2022. It was one of the best experiences of my life so far!
Poker
Whenever my cousins & I get together, the poker set invariably comes out. Poker is such a fantastic game because it is all about calculated risk and making informed decisions based on limited information. The satisfaction that comes with winning a huge pot against the odds is hard to replicate anywhere else!
Nature
Growing up surrounded by the green hills of Kerry, it's hard not to have a soft spot for the great outdoors. I took the natural beauty of my home for granted somewhat as a child, but since moving to Dublin City I've gained a much stronger appreciation for nature & whenever I'm home I try my best to go out for a long walk in the countryside & admire the view!
